Fire Chief John Partridge started with the Alexandria Fire Department in June 2008 as a firefighter. He rose to Captain and Assistant Chief and was appointed Fire Chief in July 2022.
He has worked as a career firefighter since 2009. He holds numerous certifications, including Fire Officer III, Fire Instructor II, Fire Inspector, Pumper Driver Operator, Aerial Driver Operator, Smoke Diver, Hazmat Technician, Rope Rescue Technician, Swiftwater Rescue Technician, Confined Space, and others.
Chief Partridge has an Associate's Degree in Fire Science from Volunteer State Community College and is a Tennessee-licensed Advanced EMT.
Chief Partridge also holds a Fire Officer designation from the Center for Public Safety Excellence representing a commitment to leadership and operational skills in firefighting.
